‘Irish Times’ Opinion Poll Shows Majority in Favour of Protecting the Life of the Unborn
According to a recent “Irish Times” Head2Head poll, 62% of those who expressed an opinion indicated that they were not in favour of legislating for abortion in Ireland.
The “Irish Times/Ireland.com” Head2Head is an opportunity for readers to express their views on issues of importance in the public domain. The question the participants were asked was: “Is it time to legislate for abortion in Ireland?”
62% said NO, and 38% said YES.
According to Dr Berry Kiely writing in “The Irish Times” on the poll (CLICK TO READ MORE.....) “the fundamental basis of our society and its laws are rooted in the principle that every human life has intrinsic value irrespective of age, sex, health, race, creed or any other factor that differentiates one from another.
