How Many Polish Women Travel to Europe’s Abortion Capital?

A newspaper report has claimed that ten thousand Polish mothers had their babies aborted in Britain last year. The paper said thousands of the women travel to Britain just for abortions, which are illegal in Poland. People entering Britain as temporary workers receive a National Insurance number, which lets them register with a doctor and have NHS treatment at taxpayers’ expense.
Britain seems to be an especially popular destination, because its abortion law is one of the most permissive in Europe, allowing abortionists to kill preborn babies up to 24 weeks’ old. In several other EU countries, the law bans abortions after 12 weeks.
