A major Catholic university in Rome is getting protests over its plans to host a talk by a Catholic lawyer who dissents from her Church’s teaching on life issues. Ms Cherie Booth (Mrs Tony Blair) is due to speak at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas on religion and women's rights.
Though surprised at the outcry, authorities have refused to cancel. One source reports the school, also known as the Angelicum, says it didn’t know Ms Booth's stance on human life.
