Family & Life’s Parish Visitations
Following the directive of the Lord, “Do not hide your light under a bushel”, Family & Life’s speakers are making weekend visits to parishes in Ireland. Following an invitation from the priests of the parish to speak briefly at the close of the Sunday Masses, our group arrives on Saturday afternoon for the Sunday vigil Mass. At the end of each Mass, the speaker explains the work of Family & Life, and invites the people to participate in the building of a Culture of Life in Ireland. As people leave the church building, we use the occasion to hand out a specially written leaflet on Family & Life as well as the current issue of the Personal Update, and answer any questions.
To date we have visited parishes in different parts of the country, and the response has been positive. Most people have never heard of Family & Life, but are happy to talk with us after Mass.
We would like to thank all the parish priests who have already invited and welcomed us to their parishes.
If you would like to have our speakers come to your parish, please talk to your local priest, explain who we are and what we do, and get his whole-hearted consent for a visit. Assure him that we are very careful to follow the wishes of the priest of the parish in all we say and do. If he is happy to issue an invitation, please email Anu at anu@fandl.iol.ie or phone her at (01) 855 2790. We will gladly travel to parishes in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.
