Good Shepherd Fund—10 Years of Support

WHAT IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD FUND AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Family & Life established its yearly Good Shepherd Fund to alleviate various forms of poverty among children in Asia. Through the generosity of F&L's pro-life benefactors we have been able to build educational centres and houses for children in Bangkok and Manila.

These centres rescue abandoned children, some have been involved in prostitution, they provide schooling for other children who would normally be forced to work at an early age and we provide mother and baby care facilities as well as providing medical assistance.

The Good Shepherd Fund was established by Family & Life to provide assistance to centres in Thailand and the Philippines that care for children who had suffered various forms of poverty and abuse.

Each year the Good Shepherd Fund receives requests for funding from previously vetted centres and then draws a plan to help meet the need and alleviate the problems facing the particular centre.

Family & Life’s Good Shepherd Fund is a yearly project; it has been operating for ten years.

The Good Shepherd Fund is a independent initiative and is not affiliated to any other body or organisation.

The Fund is responsible for acquiring and administering funds to centres which the fund deems in most need of help. The Fund monitors these centres and evaluates how the monies raised are put to good use.
