On 11 & 12 May 2006, the Luxembourg Antenna of the European Institute of Public Administration - the European Centre for Judges and Lawyers - is organising a seminar entitled « Latest Developments in European Family and Succession Law».
This seminar will provide a forum for discussion where experts – speakers as well as members of the audience – will be able to discuss and share experience in order to assess the current state of family and succession law in Europe. The first part of the seminar will focus on the new Brussels regime governing matrimonial and parental responsibility matters. In particular the new rules on child abduction and the right of parents and children to maintain regular contact will be analysed. The second part will be devoted to the latest developments regarding the law applicable to international divorces, matrimonial property regimes, maintenance, as well as the best way forward in the field of transnational successions. Last but not least, family mediation in cross-border disputes will be considered from a practical perspective.
This seminar is intended for legal professionals, such as judges and lawyers, national and EU officials, representatives of NGOs and family law associations, academics and others.
EIPA would be honoured to count you among the participants. The fee for registration is € 700 (including documentation, beverages, 2 lunches and a reception/cocktail).
