Minister Donnelly says "totally and utterly unacceptable" that more Hospitals dont kill the unborn

21.04.2023

The Irish Health Minister Stephen Donnelly came out with an outrageous statement this week when he deemed it is "totally and utterly unacceptable" that only 11 of the country's 19 maternity hospitals are providing abortion services.

This barbaric statement comes mere days after the announcement of record high numbers of abortions in Ireland, a figure as staggering as 8,500 in a single year.

Despite this 25% increase in abortions numbers for 2022 he believes there's not nearly enough babies being killed.

We need no reminder that this man and this Government rejected a pain relief bill for pre-born babies who can suffer ferocious pain in a late-term abortion. Their disregard for the human rights of the unborn has been quickly compounded now by the fact that Minister Donnelly is calling for an increase to this barbarism.

As minister of Health he is failing to sort out hospital overcrowding crisis, shocking cancer treatment waiting times and a heroic front line staff who are under-resourced. Yet, Minister Donnelly wants to expand an already colossal abortion regime. It's time he got his priorities right and defended the unborn along with people at all stages of life, something he is failing in at every age category.
