New Jersey Abortion Facility to Offer All-Trimester Procedures by 2026
24.10.2025

In a deeply troubling development for the unborn, two abortion providers in New Jersey plan to open a facility offering abortions throughout all stages of pregnancy. The Luminosas Wellness Collective, set to launch in Hudson County by summer 2026, will capitalise on New Jersey’s lack of gestational limits—making it one of only nine states where abortion is legal until birth.
Dr. Kristyn Brandi and nurse practitioner Catherine Obando aim to not only perform late-term abortions but also train others in these procedures, further expanding access to what many consider the most extreme form of abortion. Their justification? Timing. “It’s the same people, same circumstances,” Brandi said, “they just showed up at a different time.”
This announcement follows similar efforts in Colorado, where the RISE Collective opened to fill the void left by retiring late-term abortionist Warren Hern. Despite claims that late-term abortions are rare, data from the CDC and Guttmacher Institute show over 50,000 abortions occur annually after 15 weeks, with around 10,000 after 20 weeks.
Even more alarming, reports from the Family Research Council reveal that at least 277 infants have survived abortion attempts since 2006—though the true number is likely higher due to limited reporting requirements. Yet legislative efforts to protect these survivors, such as the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, have repeatedly been blocked.
The pro-life movement must remain vigilant. As facilities like Luminosas seek to normalize abortion until birth, we must continue to advocate for the dignity and protection of every human life—especially the most vulnerable.
