The European Commission’s endorsement of EU‑funded abortion travel, a project they call My Voice My Choice initiative, marks a profound threat to national sovereignty, conscience rights, and the protection of unborn life across Europe.

By allowing women to use EU social funds to circumvent their own country’s abortion laws and time limits, this policy would render national safeguards meaningless and pressure pro‑life Member States to abandon long‑standing legal and moral traditions.

Far from neutrality, it represents a top‑down attempt to harmonise abortion policy through financial leverage, compelling citizens to fund procedures they may strongly oppose.

With decisive EU‑level budgetary choices approaching, Family & Life urges citizens to act now, before these mechanisms become entrenched, to ensure that Europe respects subsidiarity, democratic diversity, and the right of nations to protect the unborn without interference from Brussels. We are organising a petition and a lobbying campaign aimed at both MEPs and domestic politicians to apply pressure on the EU Comission.
